The Primus Lite 3.5 is Vivobarefoot's original training all-rounder, reimagined with a new upper to get us closer to circularity. Made for moving naturally and building natural strength during runs and wide-ranging training disciplines, it’s perfect for experienced barefoot cross-trainers and those new to barefoot performance.

The Primus Lite 3.5 is a versatile performance trainer for running, cross-training, and dynamic day-to-day living that reclaims your natural potential. It’s wide for natural stability, thin for natural feedback, and flexible for natural movement.

Vivobarefoot is on a mission to create a fully circular shoe – a new Vivo made from an old one, which can in turn be made into another. The Primus 3.5 is a big step forward on this journey.

With an already mechanically recyclable outsole, the challenge is making an upper from 100% polyester, which can be recycled. The new Primus Lite 3.5 upper goes from 43% to 81% polyester, of which 94% is recycled. Why not 100%? Because some parts of the upper still need extra durability that polyester can't yet provide. We’re working with our partners to figure out this final piece of the puzzle.

PRIMUS OUTSOLE

The Primus Outsole is a light and thin 2mm performance outsole that's designed to put as little as possible between your feet and the ground. The side wall profile is as low as it can be, giving it a slightly lower profile towards the heel, and the sole subtly overlaps the toe — offering enough protection for urban environments, without compromising natural movement. Strong geometric shapes lead to strong feet, so the tread pattern uses our signature hexagonal design to help multidirectional flexibility and grip.

Care
  • Water-resistant: With wear, your shoes may lose some water resistant quality that is applied to the textile of the shoes--to maintain the water-resistance, you can reapply it using a wash-in product
  • Cleaning: Brush off mud and clean with a damp cloth
  • Drying: Remove insole and dry at room temperature, keep out of direct sunlight and avoid putting near any heating element
