The difference between Red Dot Running Company and Amazon.com (and its competitors) is that we are a part of your community. We offer the most competitive prices we can, but at the same time, we carefully curate our product selection, and offer only things we have tested and believe in. Not that there's anything wrong with Amazon; it's just that small, local business (run by small, local businesspeople, LOL) is different, and in our view worth supporting.
One thing that makes us different from Amazon (and its competitors) is that we strive to make our shop in Joo Chiat a community centre for endurance athletes. We host events – did you know? – such as a talk last month by PS Sim about Mount Everest and the Seven Summits; such as our monthly Beer Mile (20 December), in collaboration with In Bad Company; such as our occasional "Ground Xero" minimalist footwear workshops; such as our annual "Trails in Motion" film festival; and so on. To keep track of our events, follow our Facebook page.
Another thing that differentiates us from Amazon & Co. (not that there's anything wrong with Amazon) is that we're always available to help. We want to help you find THE RIGHT shoes, THE RIGHT pack, THE RIGHT nutrition plan for your upcoming race/ride/trek/tri/adventure. We do that by listening to you (good luck trying to connect to a human being at Amazon.com!) and suggesting options based on our experience (we didn't get these grey hairs by sitting on the couch!).
So come check out our events (we often have beer!), join our community, meet new people who share your interests, and have fun! 🏃♀️🏃♂️🏊♀️🏊♂️🚴♀️🚴♂️⛰🏔🍻
